1952年11月25日に、有名な推理劇「マウストラップ」初演♪

イギリスの推理作家アガサ・クリスティの「マウストラップ（ねずみとり）」は、初演以来現在まで続いている、世界で最も長い連続上演の記録をもっている推理劇なんだ♪

1952年の初演以来ロングランを続け、2012年には上演回数が25000回を超過したんだヨ！

もともとは王太后メアリー・オブ・テックの80歳の誕生日を祝うBBCのラジオドラマとして、アガサ・クリスティが執筆したんだ。それを後にクリスティが舞台劇に書き直した。

推理劇だから、カーテンコールの際に結末を漏らさないように観客にお願いをしているし、慣れで演技しないよう定期的に役者や演出家を入れ替えているんだ♪

観客にはリピーターが多く、子供の頃観た観客が２度目には自分の子供を連れて観に来るんだって♪　

The Mousetrap is a murder mystery play by Agatha Christie. The Mousetrap opened in the West End of London in 25 November 1952, and has been running continuously since then. It has by far the longest initial run of any play in history, with its 25,000th performance taking place on 18 November 2012. It is the longest running show (of any type) of the modern era. The play is also known for its twist ending, which the audience are traditionally asked not to reveal after leaving the theatre.
